Fashion feature: another "week" in the making, this one for the boys
istock photoAs if the confusion between San Francisco Fashion Week, and Chic Fashion Week, didn’t already have local style fans spinning, online magazine THE BOLD ITALIC has just announced it’s own week of fashion-focused events set to begin August 23rd.
Called The Haberdash , the event differs from the two previous "Fashion Weeks"by centering around men’s style and will feature major discounts and many of the city’s most popular boutiques including: CANDYSTORE COLLECTIVE,CARY LANE, JACK'S SAN FRANCISCO, NOMADS, ON THE FLY, R.A.G. REVOLVER, SELF EDGE,TAYLOR STITCH and UNIONMADE.
According to the event’s official facebook page, “Each night we will be throwing events hosted by our co-presenters – Revolver, On The Fly, Candystore Collective, and Jack’s San Francisco – plus a men’s fashion show at the Burrit Room. Oh, and free beer .”
With Haberdash being the third 'fashion week' to take place in a single month, one is left wondering if the clear fracturing among the local style community is serving as a handicap to success for all, and concerns about the city's fashion fans growing weary of numerous events have begun to surface online.
Stay tuned to SW for more updates on the upcoming fashion events, and For more information on Haberdash, visit the Bold Italic.

I can sorta see having one week for 'women's' and one for 'men's' but all these different weeks are getting ridick. San Francisco needs to actually come together as a whole!
I tried to buy tix for Chic Fashion Week, but the website didn't work #fail
I'm happy that this is happening. Makes a change for men to get a chance to see some cool clothes. Some of us out there have some style. Thanks to bold italic for putting that together.
Seriously, SF. I'm with ihate.....too many fashion events, too many shows, too few people to go around.
Great look & photo Cynthia! Love reading your article & feature!
