Fashion Feature: San Francisco Fashion Week The Reinvention
12 months of work and planning paid off this weekend as the first San Francisco Fashion Week event in nearly three years took place in a two-night event titled The Reinvention, that thrilled those in attendance.

Friday night, the event kicked off with Ready to Wear featuring local and national labels in the sportswear market including: Black Halo, CLU, Generra, Rock Chiq, Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent, Vintage Joy, and Work Clothes.
While every collection was strong, well edited and had a definite point of view it was difficult not to be partial to the surfer girl chic looks in the Work Clothes collection.

Saturday saw a more dramatic, and theatrical show as the Avant Garde artists presented their work including: Alexandria von Bromssen, Kathryn Mc Carron, Alyssa Nicole, Chan.nel Karama LTD, and Valpixel.

Again, while every designer showing had something to offer, it was the layers of color and conflicting patterns seen in Valpixel that had kept the collection in mind for hours to follow.
Obvious to those in attendance, San Francisco Fashion Week the Reinvention was a huge success as both nights saw at-or-over capacity crowds crammed into to the Glaceau Vitamin Water Social club in North Beach.

my friend and I went to the show last night too, it was amazing!
If I didn't have to work work work, I would have totally come! But these pictures are pretty amazing. Jealous. =]
So I just realized, we have yet to attend a fashion show together. And based on your hilarious tweets, I'm sure we'd have a riot discussing the shows together. This needs to be fixed ASAP.
The avant garde show was amazing ( didn't go the first night) AVB was so theatrical and well designed- so glad we checked it out.
