Film makers, actors, models and musicians arrived in the French Riviera over the past week to attend the Cannes Film Festival, and while controversy may surround the festivals big prizes, one thing was clear: one shoulder, asymmetrical styles ruled the red carpet and the after parties.

The color pallet ran the gamut from bridal white to yellow to blood red black and blue. But, the silhouettes remained soft and flowing with a variety of details, and finishes.
And while there were other mini trends, such as undone hair, shorter dresses and 1960-influences, asymmetrical was the stand out winner with stars in every age group making the trend work for them.
