This just in: Punk found alive in SF

While some may argue that the scourge of pop-punk bands that took hold of mainstream radio stations in the late 1990s were the last nail in the coffin for PUNK, a few bay area bands are proving that the anarchy, and the aggression is still very much alive.  

A handful of these hardcore acts including Bad Motherfucker, The Penny Dreadfuls, Stagger and Fall, and The Molestations are getting together to kick ass and take screaming names at the Rock-it Room in San Francisco tonight.
