Backstage Beauty Report: Skingraft Spring 2014
The super sexy "naked, just out of the shower" beauty look that was paired with the futuristic streetwearable Skingraft Spring 2014 collection, was a surprising change from the ultra bright eye shadows, sculpted cheeks and pink pouts we'd been seeing all week at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York. To create this utterly inspired, barely-there look, designer Jonny Cota assembled his own exclusive team of high profile stylists and artists from New York and Los Angeles to work together on the Skingraft Spring 2014 beauty.
Here's how they did it; first up the hair.
Using a 'secret' blend of Sebastian Professional Liquid Steel Styler, Sebastian Professional Halo Mist Shine Spray, and Sebastian Professional Moldable Wax, the stylists divided hair into small sections and created individual locks, or ropes of hair around the head. Layering the products on one after another, hair was kept damp for a just out of the shower look.
Now on to the make-up!
Using products from the Make Up For Ever High Definition line, the team smoothed out imperfections for a natural but polished look. On the women, just a small of amount of Lab Shine Lip Gloss was patted on to eyelids using fingers, and lips were given a quick swipe of Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Natural in N4 (a pink-beige hue) to complete the look. Men were finished off with just a touch of Make Up For Ever Concealer where needed and a dusting of Make Up For Ever Microfinish Powder.
The final look on the runway.
