Backstage beauty report : Vivienne Westwood Spring 2014
Covering the London Collections is something we hope to have in the works for our readers in the not-to-distant future seasons, but until then we are letting our pals at Toni&Guy update us on the amazing work they did backstage at the shows. First up: Vivienne Westwood Red Label, Spring 2014
"Animalistic" was the vibe at the Vivienne Westwood show, where lead stylist Mark Hampton, Global Hair Ambassador for Toni&Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe, was at the helm.
"For Vivienne Westwood Red Label this season, the look was wild and animal-like. We wanted hair with tons of volume, pinned to abstractly create the look of a ferocious forest creature" said Hampton.
Here's how the look was done:
Hair was misted with Toni&Guy Prep Heat Protection Mist to protect from heat styling. Hair was then divided into sections and waves were created with the Toni&Guy Hair Meet Wardrobe Ceramic Curved Plate Straightener. Next, the waves were brushed through with a soft bristle brush, followed by a generous amount of Glamour Volume Plumping Whip added to roots and lengths of hair for tons of texture. Finally, top section of the hair were pinned up at random and hair was given a healthy once-over with Glamour Firm Hold Hairspray.
