Boy Beauty: Backstage at General Idea Fall 2013
Think beauty is just a girl thing? Think again! Models backstage at the General Idea Men's Fall 2013 collection were treated to a bevy of beauty treatments, via the artists at TRESemmé and Aveda to get them ready for the runway.
Here's what they did--first up the hair:
To compliment the sleek and sporty General Idea collection, the team at TRESemmé, led by Matthew Curtis wanted to give models a sexy, tossled 'bed head' look. They started by thoroughly wetting hair down and applying TRESemmé 24 hour root boost. Hair was then blown dry into a sharp side part. From there, hair was sectioned at the crown and blown dry up to create the bed head look.
Next up the face:
Nope, even male models aren't born perfect, to get these guys glowing on the runway the specialists from Aveda, led by key artist Fawn Monique, were on the scene. They began by applying Aveda Tourmaline Hydrating Cream all over to hydrate and smooth skin. Aveda Tinted Mineral Moisture was then smoothed over skin to even out tone. Finally, Aveda Lip Replenishment was smoothed on over dry lips to smooth and plump.
The result? A fresh outdoorsy look that was both natural and sexy.
