This weekend is dominated by the Treasure Island Music Festival which takes place over two days. Saturday highlights include MGMT, The Streets, Federico Aubele, and MSTRKRFT. Sunday is dominated by The Flaming Lips along with The Decemberists and Grizzly Bear. The full line-up is available on the festival's website and transport will be provided from San Francisco as part of your ticket purchase.
Elsewhere this weekend;
Tonight: in San Francisco at Popscene you can catch Aussie rockers The Temper Trap and in Oakland at the Uptown you'll be able to catch 80's favorites The English Beat supported by The Uptones and Damon & The Heathens.
Friday: At 447 Broadway you'll have a unique opportunity to see hip hop legend Slick Rick. At Bottom of the Hill you'll find The Queers, The Secretions, and The Go-Going-Gone Girls. At the Fox Theater in Oakland are Snow Patrol supported by the Plain White T's.
Saturday: If you didn't get to go to the TIMF then you have another chance to see Dan Deacon at Mezzanine. Nerf Herder, Goodbye Gadget, and Lone Angels will be at Bottom of the Hill. In Oakland at the Stork Club are Seattle's Tennis Pro with The Enigmatics, The Mopes, and Sam Uptown.
