Interpol: Lights

It's been nearly three years since the release of  Interpol's third album, Our Love to Admire, during which time lead singer Paul Banks Released side project Julian Plenti is Skyscraper fueling rumors ( and the fears of Interpol's hyper-devoted fan base) of a possible break up.

Today, those fears are finally put to rest as the mercurial musicians have released  LIGHTS the first track off their upcoming, yet to be calendared fourth album.

Here at SW we held our breath,  as the track downloaded anxious to see if one the best bands to break in the last 20 years ( Cynthia thinks THE BEST) will be able to do it again, and create another masterful darkly addictive album.

Lights does not disappoint. A slower track, more along the lines of Untitled off the debut Turn On the Bright Lights, then thing off Our Love, but the delicious brooding beat and heavy bass is pure Interpol.
