Live Music Roundup
With the Bay Area weather supposedly drying up this weekend, it's a time to break the cabin fever that a week of rain will induce so here's our live music roundup.
Friday: Starting in the East Bay, the Uptown has a benefit for Pirate Cat Radio with performances from The Hooks, Shootin' Lucy, Switchblade Riot, Static Thought, and The Super Cutes. Doors are at 9 and the cover is $10. Also in Oakland at the Stork Club you'll find Lucabrazzi, 3 Weeks Clean, Entropy Density, and MC Meathook. In San Francisco, at Bottom of the Hill you can see West Indian Girl, Birdmonster, and Orange Peels - show starts at 10, is 18+, and tickets are $12.
Saturday: Starting in San Francisco, at Bottom of the Hill it's Swedish hip hop/swing/indie trio Movits! supported by Birds & Batteries and OONA - the show starts at 10, and tickets are $10. Over at Mezzanine it's time for more Bootie, this week featuring the talents DJ P and it's only $6 before 10pm. Over in Hayes Valley at the Rickshaw stop Roundmusic presents The Phenomenauts, Maldroid, The Cons, and Shauna Regan. It all kicks off at 8pm and tickets are $13. In Berkeley at 924 Gilman it's another packed show featuring KEPI GHOULIE ELECTRIC, Street Eaters, Severance Package, Distant Voices, and Younger Lovers - everything starts at 7.30 with a $7 cover.
