For unpublished authors the chance to pitch their project to an actual editor at a real publishing house can feel like an "only in my dreams" opportunity. But Wednesday, December 8th, the dream becomes a reality, with a charitable twist as Chronicle Books hosts Pitch For Charity.
The details:
WHEN: Wednesday December 8th, 3-5PM
WHAT: You get the chance to pitch your unpublished work to a Chronicle Books editor, for publishing consideration.
WHY: It could be your big break, and your $10 donation (requested to participate) will got to Habitat for humanity, it's a win-win.
How: Go to the Chronicle Books office at 680 2nd Street at 3PM, with your well practiced 5-minute pitch, a cover sheet with synopsis of your project, a writing sample from your project, your contact information and a readiness to hear truthful feedback from a professional editor.
