Taxation haiku

Dear Haikusue:

In years past I've always had a friend/relative/boyfriend help me with, or totally do my taxes for me. I am a freelance consultant and end up each year feeling overwhelmed by the enormous stack of 1099's I have to deal with. This year I am thinking of just tackling it myself.  I mean, I can't always depend on someone else, right? I just don't even know how to begin, it's kinda overwhelming and I want to make sure I don't make any mistakes.
