Child's play haiku

Dear Haikusue:

I have a really good friend whom I have known since we were small kids. Over the years we have always made an effort to spend time together, and keep in touch in a meaningful way, however lately spending time together has become a miserable experience.  My friend has a 5 year old who is a total nightmare.  Kicking, screaming, yelling, throwing things, you name it, the "little darling" does it, and my friend doesn't really seem to notice. Now my friend wants to make plans for us all to go away to a beach house for the weekend, and I can't think of ANYTHING  I want to do less than spend 48 hours with her child, but  how do I politely decline,  she doesn't like to take no for an answer.
