Backstage Beauty: Mara Hoffman Fall 2011
Mara Hoffman's Fall 2011 collection was all about the global woman, with heavy middle eastern and African influences seen throughout the looks. Backstage before the show, SW had the chance to watch Make-Up Forever key artist Lottie create a show-stopping beauty look to match the exotic elements of the collection.
Lottie's inspiration: Beautiful Middle Eastern Women, with sun kissed skin and smoky eyes.
How she created the look: Make Up Forever HD Invisible Cover Foundation in a shade darker than the model's actual skin tone was warmed up with Make Up Forever Matte Bronze and Make Up Forever Scultping Kit all over the face and cheeks. Eyes were dramatized with Make Up Forever Aqua Black and Make Up Forever Smoky Lash to the upper and lower lash lines, paired with full brows created with Make Up Forever Eyebrow Corrector. To complete the look lips were given a coat of Make Up For Ever Camouflage Concelaer in Palette #4 for a sun-stain but neutral look.
Off the runway and in the real world: The look was an intense one which Lottie suggested real-world girls tone down by using the HD invisible cover foundation in their normal cover, with a light bronzer, a less aggressive line created with Aqua Black around the eyes, and a smooth nude lip achieved by a pale color or a simple swipe of your favorite lip balm.
