Runway Report: Bright eyes

Whether  in the theater at a mega-brand collection, or at a gallery in Chelsea for an ultra avant-garde presentation bright, bold eyes were making huge waves on the Spring 2011 runways during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.

DIY: Bright eye shadows and liners are a fun way to add a lot of punch to your spring look, and with many drugstore brands now offering high-pigment lines such as L'Oreal's high intensity pigment lines you don't have to break the bank to try this trend on.

The easiest, and least likely to leave you feeling clownish way to try the look out for your self is to selected a single color that flatters your skin and eyes. Try warm tones  (yellows and oranges) on pale skin and cool tones (blues, and greens) for naturally darker complexions.

For the brave at heart: Use two conflicting colors such as purple and orange to create a show stopping effect.

But, Wyldie beware: any more than two bold colors on one face will create a 3-year old in mommy's make-up drawer effect so just say no to bright lipstick when experimenting with this bright, bold eyes.
