Runway Report: Timo Weiland
Colonial India served as an inspiration fro the Fall 2011 Timo Weiland collection, which was filled with rich vibrant colors, classic silhouettes, and layers of texture.
To best highlight this sumptuous collection make-up artist, and product guru Napoleon Perdis opted for contoured cheeks, nude lips and strong face-framing brows.
"Timo Weiland and his design partner, Alan Eckstein, were very much influenced by a modernized Indian princess meets Gloria Vanderbilt for their fall 2011 collection. I complemented their inspiration with strong brows, matte skin and contoured cheekbones. For the eyes, I used a beige liner for that crisp liquid line to lift the eyes. My latest wonder product Ultimate Contour Palette was truly a godsend this fashion week and it allowed me to contour and sculpt each face to perfection. Look out for it when it launches this summer to get those supermodel cheekbones." wrote Perdis on his post runway show blog.
This barely-there look is easy to achieve at home by using your regular foundation, a smoothing lip balm on lips, such as Dior Crème de Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm, on lips, a light bronzer on cheeks such as Laurie Mercier Shimmer Bloc Palette and a blend-able brow pencil or shadow (we suggest the Benefit Brow Zings brow shaping kit, which makes the whole shape and fill process much easier.)
One word of caution: Wyldie beware to heavy a hand on the brows will leave you more "Marx-Brothers" than runway read so use a light hand when filling and shaping.
